Director of Communications

Kirsten Ussery is Director of Communications for Detroit Renaissance, managing the organization's media relations, communications, outreach, and marketing efforts. Prior to this position, Kirsten was Account Executive at John Bailey & Associates, working primarily with automotive clients, including Henkel North America and DuPont. Kirsten also served for several years as Public Relations Specialist for Yazaki North America, Inc., a global tier 1 automotive supplier, where she managed media relations and special corporate projects.

Kirsten received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a concentration in Public Relations. She also received a Masters in Education from Wayne State University with an emphasis in Instructional Technology.
